The Expert In Anything Was Once A Beginner

Today is the first day of my Social Studies Methods course. I am extremely nervous due to all the rumors I have heard about this course. I heard there was a great amount of work and that it may be overwhelming and stressful. I heard of all the this course consist of: small group activities, discussions, demonstrations, outside activities, outside experience, fieldwork, Though I am nervous I am ready to begin a new adventure, take on new tasks, and learn all that I have to learn to help me succeed. The expert in anything was once a beginner! :)

Today we read letters previous students wrote informing us about about their experience taking this course. This letter informed me that I have to stay on top of my work and stay focused throughout the semester. The author informed me that when I do feel stressed to take a breath and to remind myself that I will get through it, everyone has. Another thing the author stated was to enjoy my learning experience and all the new knowledge I will have to be a better teacher. Reading this letter was reassuring and made me a somewhat relieved knowing that I will be alright. I am still nervous about the paperless aspect of this course and all of the new things we will be learning about this semester. The course materials are all found on eClass. I am going to have to get use to using eClass and learn how to navigate and use the website.

We also watched a video in class, which I had attached below, that taught us about todays generation students. Students today are brought up knowing nothing but how to use technology. This video was extremely touching and and eye opener! One MUST watch this video!!!!
